Sometimes the best floor is the concrete you already have, ground down and polished to a clean, smooth shine.
Sometimes the best floor is the concrete you already have, ground down and polished to a clean, smooth shine. Polished concrete is tough, low maintenance, and has a modern look that works in homes and businesses alike. Cozy Coatings offers concrete grinding and polishing throughout Orange County for anyone who wants a durable floor without a coating on top.
Concrete grinding and polishing is a mechanical process. Instead of adding a coating layer, we use diamond tooling to grind the surface of the slab, then refine it step by step with finer and finer diamond grits until it is smooth and reflective. Along the way we apply a densifier that hardens the concrete, and we finish with a guard or sealer that helps protect against stains.
The floor you end up with is still your concrete, just harder, smoother, and much better looking. It is a different look from our coated systems like epoxy flake flooring or metallic epoxy floors, and a good fit for people who like the natural character of concrete.
Polished concrete can be finished to the look you want.

Polished concrete is your existing slab, ground and polished with diamond tooling, then densified and sealed. Epoxy and flake floors add a coating layer on top of the concrete. We do both and can help you decide which fits your space.
We can polish to a matte, satin, or high gloss finish. We will talk through the look you want at your free on-site estimate.
No. Polished concrete is low maintenance. Regular sweeping and damp mopping are usually all it needs.
Yes. Polished concrete works well in garages, as well as homes, showrooms, warehouses, retail spaces, and restaurants.
We fill cracks and chips during the process, but polished concrete keeps the natural character of the slab, so some marks may still show. We will look at your concrete and set expectations at the estimate.
